Put in an eggcup full and see if the result of the wash is OK - adjust the amount up or down to see if the amount changes/makes a difference to the wash. This will never be an exact science so no-one can really tell you a precise amount - besides different strokes for different folks. Some of us don't use fabric conditioner at all - and my granny never did - it's not mandatory
