if it helps I use an old ecover fabric conditioner bottle - couple of drops of lavender essential oil 3rd full distilled vinegar topped up to top with water and a good shake to mix.
put this mix in drawer in the fabric conditioner compartment before I press the button to start the wash.
I think comparing the bottle to others it is a concentrated size bottle (small cap size measure) If it would help I could measure the actually amount that I put in the machine but it may take be a day or so as my machine is dead at the moment and my mum has the fabric conditioner as she is very kindly washing my clothes for me.

do you think it should have said "caps" not "cups"?
I put a slosh (yes, that's a technical term)of vinegar into the fabric conditioner section of the drawer. I thought the whole point of having different sections in the drawer is that they were used at different points of the wash...but I am no expert. I've never used fabric conditioner in my life (being terminally mean) so I've no idea at what point in the wash it should be used.weaving through the chaos...0 -
Am not sure but i think all three sections fill with water. If this is the case then surely i add the vinegar or fabric con before the final rinse0

Put the vinegar in the Fabric Conditioner slot before you start the machine - it's designed to wash it out at the right time.
Alternatively, you can add it just as the final rinse has started. Just wait till in between water fills and you can pull the drawer out wthout getting drenched. I do this all the time as my machine has got a slight fault! :rotfl:0 -

These instructions are American and are correct saying 'cups' but for converting to use in front-loading european machines which take in far less water and wash by tumbling rather than by aggitation change the word to 'caps' HTHLife's a beach!
