Vodafone....poor customer service

Vodafone customer service is non-existent. After experiencing the known power fault with my 4th replacement Nokia N8 and being told to return it to my store (even though my contract is direct) only to find it undergoing a refit and therefore having to travel over 25miles to the next nearest store and then being told I would have to collect it as they would not post it back to my home or place of work, I decided to inform Vodafone of my disatisfaction.
To say the reply I received was diabolical is an understatement, not 1 of my points was addressed and they even offered a pre-paid envelope for me to return !!!! and in one email even referred me to the manufacturer!!!
A series of emails back and forth to Asia followed only for my patience to run out and I have now forwarded copies of all emails to Guy Laurence.

    Sadly, this is all too common in the 'service' sector. No network/supplier is worse than any other, as they will swing from being attentive, to being a pain in the butt withinb a heartbeat - depending on who handles your enquiry.

    Bottom line, expect it - that way, good service is appreciated more, and it saves your blood pressure. You have the ultimate sanction, take your money elsewhere when it is time to take stock.

    The satisfaction of doing so more than overcomes the hassle!

    Hi, when I had a problem with my Nokia N8 I looked around and found www.eblast.co.uk who carry out warranty work for Nokia and several other manufacturers and also do chargeable repairs.

    I posted the phone by special delivery around 11am on the Monday and if I had been in would have received it back around 10am on the Wednesday ( I collected it from my local sorting office that evening ).

    I did not have to pay for the return special delivery costs.
