I like the HTC Wildfire S on talkmobile at £12 but before I commit to that am just wondering if I could get a HTC Desire S - or a Samsung equivalent for not much more.

Desire S is £18 on talkmobile. Are there any other good deals around?

I am low use, currently on an Orange PAYG package with using about £8 per month on an old Nokia so may as well have a nice phone for just a little more :)

Do you think Orange Retentions would be interested in keeping me?

The £18 TalkMobile deal is probably the best out there and I doubt Orange will come close to it. Remember to go through Topcashback to get £45.45 cash back.

You could get a Galaxy Ace on TalkMobile through mobiles.co.uk for £30-a-month on a 12-month contract. 400 mins, 1000 texts, 1GB data. You can claim £270 cash back + £30.30 Topcashback: www.topcashback.co.uk/mobilespayg-and-accessories/
  • You may pick up the original Desire on a good deal. Better in every way than the Wildfire S apart from it's only on Android 2.2 as opposed to 2.3 (there is an update to 2.3 but it's not OTA).
  • Thanks, Desire would be good.
  • I'm in the same boat as you - low usage Orange pay monthly. They didn't even bother trying to compete. So i've asked for my PAC and am looking around at the moment. Trouble is Orange/T-mobile is the only network which works in our house - for 02/vodaphone you have to go outside to make/receive calls!

This post looks helpful...an Orange SIM only package...
