Car giving off a sewer like smell!! HELP!

Someone please help me

Today my car started giving off a smell that I can only describe as like a sewer! It is horrible.....

Any ideas what would cause that?

No it's coming from the actual car, cannot smell it inside with the windows shut..... when the AC is on, the car smells nice!

I have had a look, doesn't seem to be. It also doesn't smell like that if you know what I mean.

If it smells like rotten eggs, it is probably hydrogen sulphide, a by product of the catalytic converter.

From reading on the net it looks like Catalytic converter is favourite

Any idea roughly how much that will cost to replace on a 2007 Ford Focus?

if it does smell of rotten eggs then change your fuel provider pronto and go somewhere where fuel is sold fresher:)
