Same here,I have lost a lot of my family over the past 10 years as well as good friends from my RAF days.I've been out of work a lot since redundency from NTL/VM in the late 2000's so it's been temp work for me,no work going that I'm qualified to do.
Over the past year my health has suffered a lot,I had a TAI Stroke last month,so my Daisy is a lifeline to me & keeps me grounded.
Aww Spike - I hope you are OK.
I am a single mum, veterinary nurse with depression & bipolar, living in a rural area. Much as I want to go back to work, there are ZERO part time VN jobs round here, and although I could do full time, being rural, they all need you to do on call which is impossible for me as a single mum....
Vet Nursing is all I've ever done, so although I have applied for other jobs, I don't know what to say in interviews..........
My pets are there though, every time! With a doggy snog & a snuggle, or a kitty cat paddying and purring away...
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

They are so gorgeous, I love Bengals they are such characters! I've already posted this but here is our new kitten Bella, she has a love of sleeping on books for some reason, also today she hopped behind an open kitchen drawer (you know when you have a deeper one at the bottom of a "tower" of drawers?) and had a good long snooze there! Our other cat Jasper is a bit more traditional, anyone elses bed will do!

I have just shown this pic to oh, and he asked me when I took it!!!!!! He is the identical twin of Rusty, my female cat!!!!:eek:0 -
This is Rusty after a hard day

ahh, they are like my Kiwi!
Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.0 -
