Alertme Panel - Anyone else on it?

Mine was dhl to my work, received it on Thursday.
Liam, I got in touch with the nice folks at AlertMe and they advised that because I had bought the AlertMe Security kit they have to do a bit of tinkering to add the trial to my existing package.
Again... If you're buying additional items for your AlertMe system I'd get brand new ones as I've had loads of bad luck from Ebay and ended up shelling out about £15 in return postage fees!0 -
Well, I've got my Alert Me kit, but I can't use it yet as I'm unsure about the clamp that goes on the meter - good start!
I can see all the numerous wires, thick and thin, inside the meter cupboard and although there's not one that has a red clip at the top, it has a red marking so I presume it's that one. The only trouble is, it's very close to a bunch of other wires and I'm scared about dislodging one of the other wires when I try and put the clamp on the correct one. So at the moment, I'm going to wait until my daughter's boyfriend's brother - who's an electrician - to come and have a look in a couple of weeks as there's no way I'm fiddling aorund in there!Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0 -

You want to clip it around the wire that goes either into the Electricity Meter or the wire that goes from the Electricity Meter to the Fuse Board.
As long as you can get it round either one of those without moving/damaging them you're sorted. If in doubt, get it round one of them and check the reading.

Highly unlikely you would dislodge one as there are 2 screws beneath the cover holding every cable in place. The one you will need would be the cable on the far right hand side out of the 4/6 cables you have coming out the meter. (Usually indicated with a Red piece of tape or an L on it)0

Thankyou louca001 and AppleMonkey, I will have another look in the meter cupboard this afternoon and report back.

Finally got my kit from Alertme. Had it in about a week and the first challenge came through about 2 days ago.
Since we are new tenants after both living at home with our respective mummy and daddy we have only just received our price tariff from NPower so now that's in we can accurately see what we're using and spending.
I've also set up Swingomiter sharing. I've posted my individual identifier as I can't post links here due to being too new. If you go to your own shared Swingometer and paste my unique identifer in you should be able to see it. /36dac9b955c64d1935b85dcfcee1053d.png
Next month will be the real test. If our electricity bill matches what Alertme is telling us!
How's everyone else getting on?0
