We supply and fit hardwood doors. The doors (and frames) we sell at rrp, so that could be anything from £100 to £650.
Fitting costs are £110 to hang door. £130 to hang door with letterbox fitted. £150 to fit door, frame & letterbox.
Locks, hinges and door furniture are on top. Good British Standard mortice locks being about £35 to £45 and decent nightlatches about £35 to £100.
I may add, that with doors/locks, you get what you pay for. You can get cheaper ones, but we don't fit them, because they're just not up to standard!
    Hope this helps.

As far as UPVC goes, size doesnt really matter since they are measures, cut and fusion welded on a jig so its not like buying a wooden blank and having to hack it into shape/size.
  • I've had a quite to supply and fit a new front door - GPR (Composite) - with a small amount of glass - £1200 inc VAT. I think this is quite expensive myself but we are in SE. Does anyone have recommendations on suppliers they've used?
  • who gave some of you a quote for £450, i can't find anywhere that reasonable, i am in the midlands

The reason its £450 is because its nearly 5 yrs old.

£500 would get you a double glazed door from this company in sutton coldfield www.eewindows.co.uk £650 triple glazed. I know because my house is in their gallery section.

Probably the best and cheapest are 'Value Doors' which are a national company. I just got mine from them!

All prices are published on the website including VAT and fitting, I had other companies round for 3 hrs at a time and then a week later quoted me an outlandish price. Time for them fitting my front door was 2 hours
