    Hi everone,

Oh Beth, what good news. You've been on my mind today. Nothing much to report here in the sunny south, (heavy sarcasm, in case anyone believes me,) I had nothing booked for today so OH said let's go out. So we did and went out to lunch too - such a saving on my housekeeping! Suddenly feel like getting out the knitting and looking out some interesting things to make for Christmas, I went on the wrong forums yesterday and got all inspired. It's going to be a simple celebration this year, (don't worry, I say that every year but it never turns out like that.) However, I am determined not to leave it all to the last panic-filled minute. I say that every year too.
So sorry to bring this up so early but as I said, I went on the wrong forums. Don't do it!
Having had a good lunch it will be something on toast for tea. Have uncharacteristically thought ahead and taken some pork belly out of the freezer for tomorrow. Long, slow cooking and everything all crispy at the end. Yum!

Beth - glad today was ok
jackieO - I have one of those too, great invention
Bramble - glad your grandad is better

Looong day at work, all day meeting about all the new processes and qualifications. I switched off in the afternoon as I helped write the new qualification so had heard it all already! But my old schoolfriend had her first day today, and despite having to take in a lot of information, she really enjoyed it :). Also my ex-colleague who had the brain tumour last year popped in over lunch, it was really good to see him. He is doing well but is waiting for another op to remove the remainder of the tumour.

OS wise - WM been on, dinner will be HM curry from the freezer with some YS'd bahjees/samosas.

    Have a good evening all

Evening All. Beth so glad the results so far have been good. Hope the next appt goes well too.
Well, I can now hear again, having had my ear syringed yesterday, and with my new glasses I can today see so very much better! I'll never go to Sp**Sa*****s again - three times I went back last year and in the end believed it was my fault, not the prescription! Today - I am back wearing a prescription very little changed from the one this particular optician prescribed for my cotact lenses 10 years ago, and everything is clear once more! Definitely worth the extra cost!
have also had my hair done today and reversed the decision from last time to "go grey gracefully" Nout yet!!
Hmm not OS this post! However I have made a fabulous butternut squash soup today and used up the leftover pork from Tuesday's roast, so a bit OS. Won't mention the sheets in the TD...!
HH, I was chuckling over the chap who has difficulty with numbers - serve him right!
Right, must sort out the kitchen (can see now that the tiles need a good clean - but maybe not tonight!
Oh and DS was checked into hospital in London last night!!!! Sugar levels through the roof and a pulse of 140!!!! Much better today though - I'm sure once his medication is all reviewed as a whole things will settle down a bit,
have a good evening if you can.

I need to be organised so the washing is put outside late at night or very early morning if not it gets ruined by the sun..also I live in a desert area so add sandstorms and Humsins into the equasion and TD it is..........I think I hang more washing outside in the winter here......

    Evening all

Beth - so pleased today went well, enjoy your G and T and your weekend

Hugs to all others who need or want them.

Day off work today and I have never stopped. Dog got me up at 4 o clock wanting to go out and I intended going back to bed for an hour but instead started doing things lol. Washed, cooked, cleaned, changed bed, ironed, shopped and got the car down to the garage, where it passed its MOT (thank goodness). Am now slumped on the couch with the laptop on my knee and can't be bothered to eat the tea I made lol

Made Diva's pastryless tuna quiche today and have had her on my mind ever since - miss the purple prose!

Ok need a hot drink, then must bring the washing in from the line outside - so have a good evening all

Made a huge pot of medicinal soup today, have just decluttered 2 bowls but didn't taste a drop. Am meeting myself coming back just now, MIL has pleurisy, and have been at old demented great aunts twice today, and had her at an eye clinic appointment, still feel like carp myself but needs must.....feel an early night coming on!
