You are focusing on the wrong thing, the point is the buyer is willing to pay 4k to a stranger without seeing a car. Nobody in their right mind would do that. Clearly a scam.

You could be right, it is a Saab at the end of the day. But as with the last thread like this, the car could be worth 3x that in the country it is going to be exported to.

If you want to clear up any chanc eof it being a genuine sale, offer to deduct the price of the train ticket from the price of the car so he still only pays £4k.Sounds like a scam though.

People do it all the time, I did it 2 weeks ago, see my earlier post. Hundreds of cars are sold everyday on Ebay in this manner. Car auctions also now do internet bidding.
