Oil prices around the UK

Hi everyone,

Like most people I'm outraged at the high cost of home heating oil, but I wondered if prices differ much around the UK.

I'm in Northern Ireland, and I just paid £526 for 900 litres of oil (the usual 28 sec kerosene). Does this differ much where you are?

I found a receipt earlier from April 2010 when I paid £420, making that a massive 25% increase in 18 months! Grrrr!

I paid 54.3 p/litre in North Yorkshire last week.
(Was quoted as much as 61.75p though!)

Hi belfast_gal I think when you add VAT to the others, your price looks pretty good. I am assuming your price includes VAT.

Kent - I paid 54.49 (plus VAT) for 1,000 litres yesterday

Hi Belfast Girl - have you looked at Boilerjuice.com? they seem to work on a gonglomerate basis and try to combine deliveries to reduce price......looks ok 0 but it have not needed to use them - yet!!
