It might be a shrew that was already living / tunneling in that piece of ground, before your doglet went and pooped on top of it!? They can be very tiny, even the adults0

My husband said it looked like a slo worm tunnel but under dog poop? I am not sure. I often see dung beetles and they are quite small - they could not have made that tunnel, I was just curious as to what it might be. I have put some more dog poo over the hole to entice it out again (LOL, yes really) but anyone have any ideas what on earth it might be.
