Company claiming forgot to collect DD

Options
Bought a bed from a company and contract stated last payment would be collected 1st August 2011. Payment was collected and I cancelled direct debit with my bank towards end August. Company now say that they didn't collect a payment in October 2010. And that although there is normally a £30 admin fee for 'missed payments', they would waive it!! As it was not my fault. I am asking for itemised list of payments as need to check against my bank records - am I definitely liable for this 'missing payment'. Can I insist they prove it wasn't collected??

If it wasn't paid then you are liable for it, unless you can prove it was paid. They have six years to claim it from you, if you ignore it and it goes to court you would have to prove you paid it.
