I went to the post office to collect my ordered ISA forms and was told that head office will not give them to my local post office as it is a deprived area. If I was deprived I wouldn't be asking for an ISA for .... would I? am I missing something here. Thats 3 applicants they have just turned away in one family. Their loss.....:( is there an ISM here

Why not just fill in the forms online and then print them?

Good practical suggestion from noh.
Me, I'd be complaining to head office!0 -
i would have but i have run out of ink at the moment, for so much printing

Nice one about the Ink..............
You could print one out at the Library.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
That explanation makes no sense. The Post Office supplies forms on behalf of clients (eg Royal Mail, NS&I, Passport Office etc.) and the clients pay the PO for this service. Sometimes the client specifies that forms should only be available in main offices (eg. passport forms) as this is cheaper than supplying all offices, but as far as I know this restriction does not apply with NS&I. The PO website specifically says any PO re: ISA applications. It seems you have been misinformed.isaisababy wrote: »head office will not give them to my local post office as it is a deprived area.
EDIT: Just noticed that the PO ISA is not NS&I, it is Bank of Ireland, so maybe they do restrict leaflet distribution, but unlikely to be based on the wealth of the area, I would have thought...0 -
I think the explanation about a client only wanting forms in a main branch would explain a lot but that is what should have been said. The deprived area relates to the people working behind the counter too and she wasnt too pleased either. So if any one has any spare cash they can send this way......all donations gratefully accepted. Need about £5340 for operation.0

If you want to make an issue of it, it sounds like a good headline for the local newspaper!0
