Vodafone Upgrade What should you get?
My contracts run out with vodafone
Do vodafone have a standard table or something that tells you what value phone you can get as an upgrade and/or how much cash they offer as cash back if you don't go for the upgrade or wish to source it elsewhere?
Monthly contract is £41
thanks

There is no standard table.
Upgrade prices go off your monthly spend, i.e. if your line rental is £30 a month and you have £40 worth of calls/texts a month (firstly your on the wrong price plan) but you would get a better upgrade deal than someone paying £30 a month line rental but not going over their minutes/texts so they only pay £30 a month.
This will determine how much discount you get on the phones.
Usually they will offer your 6 months half price l/r to keep you or something, but if they don't in upgrades then go through to their retentions department who can usually give you better deals if you say you want to cancel as you have seen a better deal elsewhere.

The better ones yes.
Their will be free phones for your to choose but it will be something like a SE K750i or older.
If you are not bothered about keeping your number then just cancel and take advantage of a new contract with a decent spec phone for free.
With phones now, it's easy enough to write a text message and send to all of your contacts saying what your new number is. It might cost alot if you have alot of contacts but then it's done for atleast another year. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -
My price plan with Vodafone is £25 an month and i just got a free SE K800i and a 256mb card all on next day delivery(cost £3.95 for delivery). My contract is coming to an end with Vodafone. I have requested a PAC code so I can move networks and had the retentions department on the line a couple of times. They have said they will offer up to 50% off deals from other networks i.e. if Orange offer 400 mins 100 texts for £40, you could potentially have this tariff with them for £20 (but may not be for full term of contract). If you want a decent phone though the offers aren't as good though.
I suggest if you want to get a decent deal and stay with them to request a PAC code, you'll soon get people offering you deals. Even if you get the code it expires after 31 days if you don't use it.0 -

A good deal, however I have been with them 18 months on £17 per month for 125 mins plus 250 texts. I asked for a PAC. I soon got called regularly by Vodafone CS. Today I eventually negotiated a brand new W850i for £15 a month for 12 months plus double texts (500) and 200 cross network minutes plus stop the clock. I guess it depends whom you talk to and how hard they are willing to try on your behalf I did haggle hard and I would not give in. It paid off in that I can now sell my new phone for £180 and have totally free mobile for at least a year. I love saving moneyEducation is compulsory, school is not.

You've posted on at least 3 threads i've seen so far simply insulting vodafone.
I really don't want to sound mean but there is NO point in this. People what constructive advice.. not silly libel comments.
My experiences with vodafone are fantastic.. its very very opinionated really..
Sorry getting frustrated with seeing digp comment like this in EVERY thread.[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."
