Part of my job is to order products for my department with the company credit card. I have realised today that most of the companies we use are on quidco.
Is it wrong to go through quidco to get things for the company or not?? I’m inclined to say yes but, would they know??
I need to place the order in a bit, aaaagh moral dilema

Well, it is supposed to be for personal use, not business use.
Is it wrong? I think you already know the answer to that.
Debt is not the be all and end all. There is always a solution!0 -
the only potential sticking point is that some of the cos only pay up if the email address for the ordering is the same as registered on quidco
I think that morally theres nothing as of course businesses couldnt use it anyway:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Why dont you just ask your boss if it would be ok?
I used to buy all the shopping about £100 (TESCO) for our weekly Tuesday meeting at work, I asked the boss if i could have the clubcard points.....he said "Go for it!"0 -
Ask first.
We aren't allowed to use our clubcard for work purchases and we aren't allowed to buy something on our personal credit cards and we could get into serious doo-doo if we did-did.
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
I use a personal CC for work expenses, it's a cashback card, I also have to buy stuff like cakes from Tesco for promo days with customers, I get the Tesco points no worries. I would draw the line at Quidco though.0

I am not so sure. I have to stay in hotels for my employer and have to pay the bills with my personal cc. Sometimes I am reimbursed before the credit card statement comes, sometimes I'm not (so I have the luxury of subsidising their debt by paying the interest!). I have found out that the hotel has a membership scheme that pays points - 1 for every £10 of expenditure. I see no problem with that.
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I use a personal c/card for work, and always buy my train tickets/hotel rooms via quidco, as well as petrol from Sainsbury's/Tesco to collect nectar/clubcard points. It's my money I'm spending in the first place, so I don't see any issue with it. In addition it's an M&S card, so I get M&S vouchers every quarter too.
IIRC civil servants are not allowed to make any personal gain from work purchases - my aunt has a zillion BA airmiles which she can't touch!
At a previous place of work we used to "sell" empty drink cans to the recycling man (1p each I think!) and the money always paid for a few drinks at the christmas do. I would ask first if it was the work credit card, if anyone is funny about it you might have to offer the money into the kitty at next year's xmas party or something.0 -
Yes its wrong, when I worked for the NHS we used to have to buy things from boots. If we used our own boots points cards it was classed as theft. Maybe this was just the policy of NHS, but I would at least check first before you do anything you might regret.0
