Six Months

We are moving to a new flat this weekend, but will only live there for six months as I know my company are sending me abroad at the beginning of March.
We're currently with Plusnet (and have been for over a year). They are telling us that they'll move our service to our new flat, but that if we subsequently cancel within 12 months they will charge us £60. Any thoughts?

Ask them to transfer you and switch you to their 30 day contract. Obviously this will cost you more, and you'll probably have to pay something towards the switch cost. If the excess is more than £60, then it's cheaper just to pay the ETC.
I would have thought that your company would settle the ETC under the circumstances? No free lunch, and no free laptop
