The actions of that woman after knocking down Wayne make for painful reading. A very upsetting story.

I've signed it, but it won't do much good. The sentences in this country are too soft which is mainly why I voted Conservative. I didn't know how much of a numpty Ken Clarke was. If I had, I wouldn't have bothered voting for anyone.0

the guy who started the original thread just updated it with this responce
I've just been told that the court will allow the family to present the petition as part of their impact statement at the hearing (having previously been told they were too late to submit one), so the more signatures the better. This all may actually have some small effect on things so thanks to all who've taken the time to sign0 -

Signed. I work in the administration of the Crown Court, so although I'm not a lawyer I do have some idea as to how much the Judges' sentencing powers have been restricted by various governments who either find it politically inconvenient or too costly to have too many criminals in prison where they belong. They prefer to instruct Judges to give them community sentences, and we court staff hear them laughing as they leave the courtroom.0

signed,
what ever happened to respecting the law of the land and suffering the consequencies if not?
I hope the family can gain some comfort from that woman being named and shamed.
