Gmail is probably the best of the email services, they also give you unlimited storage so you never have to delete an email.
Doesn't that sound a bit creepy to you?

GMail scans the contents of your e-mails for keywords so they can generate adverts. That's ok if it's nothing personal, but I've had personal (of a medical nature) e-mails scanned by Google. I think that's a bit too intrusive by far.

7.5GB - I've been using GMail since December 2005, and am now at 93%, going to go onto a paid plan soon I fear - but people keep sending me huge files, and the ability to search is so so useful

Just a question, is there a way on Hotmail where you can tell if someone has actually read the email you have sent them.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

I've used didtheyreadit.com ages ago. They had a free trial on at the time.

Glad it's not just me - not been able to do anything with my Hotmail since the weekend, even though it lets me log in:(

Have started the somewhat mammoth task of switching every thing to my gmail account - I have noticed problems sending/receiving mail through Hotmail for a while now but this is the last straw:mad:

  • You could also try Opera Mail (from the Opera browser people). Various plans, starts out free.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.
  • Maybe unrelated but I was having problems with hotmail when trying to use it with IE8 and Windows 7 operating system for some reason. I tried accessing it using Chrome and its fine. Worth a try?
