Should I buy 12month extended warranty for 4 year old car?

We have bought a warranty for our works van for the last three years.
Premium cover up to £1k per claim and in total to the full value of the vehicle.
The steering rack bush went 2 months ago and you cannot replace just the bush has to be the whole rack.
Warranty company refused to pay for anything saying as a previous poster said it is wear and tear.
Ended up with a bill for £457.
I don't mind paying for the bush but a whole rack....
In the current economic climate these companies will get out of paying if they can. If you have a valid warranty make sure you service and have proof of servicing the vehicle - check the warranty terms and conditions. If not serviced within the agreed intervals another reason they will not pay.
I will not be renewing the warranty with this company.0 -
I would not bother, 365.00 is a lot of money to spend on a newish car and would be surprised at that mileage if it needed anything doing to it.
I have bought two cars from second hand dealers both gave a free 6 month warranty.0
