X BOX LIVE account - EXPERT ADVICE NEEDED!!!!! :)

I hope someone can give me some expert advice on this..
To keep it kind of short, when i lived with my ex boyfriend, i paid for his x box live account using my debit card, and the annual payment still coming out of my account every year. I have phoned Xbox live to try and stop the payment, but they won't stop the payment without my old card number and my bank can't cancel it due to it not being a direct debit payment.
I phoned my bank to try and get my old card number but they cannot give me this as it's no longer on their system and they only have my new card number.
I don't know how i can cancel this without changing bank accounts (which i don't really want to have to do!) and i'd rather not have to go round to my ex's house to get him to cancel it for me!!
I hope someone can help on this!!!
I'd appreciate anyones advice
Thanks, Sophie

Sophie,
have you tired to phone xbox live with his name n address etc and explain its your card? 0800 587 1102, they are open til nine
hope this helps0 -
Just a thought, do you know his Xbox live acct details/email address which you would have set up when you registered?
http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/live
I recently went in and changed my renewal to manual to stop it auto-renewing every year since I don't use it.
Will they at least let you do that to stop the payment coming out?
Cheers...Steve.0 -
I have actually told them this but they say they need my old card number which i can't find or get from the bank

Thanks for your help!

I have phoned them and they say they cannot stop anything until i get my old card details which i would have made the first payment with at the time... Also i do know his email address but not his password so i couldn't access his account!
I might just have to resort to changing my bank altogether! Thanks, i really appreciate your help on this

Couldnt you just call the bank and say there is fraudulant activity on your card in respect of a 'microsoft' payment which you havent authorised - as you dont even own an xbox?
The payment is linked to the current account your using so them saying they cant help sounds like you got the local numpty thats on day release, phone again and demand they do something about it.0 -
Best way to do it is to kindly ask him to delete the card from his xbox account, he can do this 2 ways, either online in the Manage Subscriptions page or on his console.
Only takes 1 text doesn't it to save an almighty amount of aggro. I'd just tell him Microsoft contacted you and asked whether you wanted to cancel the subscription, make it sound like they are going to unless he changes the account details on there??0 -

That's exactly my point, if it's coming out of my current account, there should be something they can do about it - they shouldn't need my old card details if it's still coming out of my current account! 0 -
Hi, I have politely text him already twice, and still had no refund for the payment off him, and the second text he ignored so the only option is to go round but i don't really want to have to do that! Thanks for your help!JuniorDesigner wrote: »Best way to do it is to kindly ask him to delete the card from his xbox account, he can do this 2 ways, either online in the Manage Subscriptions page or on his console.

Unfortunately, i don't have any of my old statements but even so, i think it wouldn't have my old card number on there ... :-\is it not on an old statement? how fustrating... maybe you could just chap his door n sort it out?
Yeah could call round but that's a last resort, i just want to get revenge now - think i'll write a very heavy complaint letter to X Box live and give them all his details... so they can contact him about the payments instead!!!
