iPad 2 now, or wait for iPad 3?

I'm going to have some cash soon and will be able to afford to get myself an iPad without being forced to pay for an airtime contract (I'll either just get the WiFi model, or an ad-hoc Sim only deal). What I can't decide is if its worth waiting 'till February(ish) when the iPad 3 is likely to arrive.
Any thoughts? Do we reckon the 3 will be enough better than the 2 to justify waiting almost 6 months (and maybe more if previous releases are anything to go by) for its release?
This is based somewhat on what I have hear about pricing; correct me if I'm wrong, somebody, but Apple have so far brought out new models at the same price point as the existing top of their range, and reduced the price of older models, yes?
i.e. the iPad 3 (should it follow the same pricing) would be released at the same price as the iPad 2 is currently set, and the iPad 2 will get cheaper.

As soon as Apple start doing a big discount off RRP then you know. Alternatively get a HP TouchPad for peanuts new and then buy iPad 30

Apple wont reduce the price until the ipad 3 is out and even then the reductiob wont be huge. Get an ipad 2 now then sell it when the 3 is avaliable

Good idea possibly, except the second hand price of iPad 2 is likely to plummet like a brick once 3 is launched... Only be worth it if I'd get enough back to pay the majority of the price of the 3. Still worth considering and keeping it in good condition for. I'm also reckoning that the 3 is likely to be much like the 2; just with retina display (possibly). A massive resolution increase is a big difference IMO.I'm also reckoning that the 3 is likely to be much like the 2; just with retina display (possibly). Not totally convinced there will be much more different.
