O2 Iphone 4 upgrade
I am looking into upgrading to Iphone 4 with O2 (Iphone 3GS currently).
I wonder whether anyone has any good stories about getting good upgrade deal? ie better then the normal new customer prices that they show on their site?
Or I am looking at possibly getting a refurb (from O2).. Do you think that is a big risk?
Thank you

Hi, be aware that there is a strong likelihood that the iphone 5 will be out next month. Now is not the time to buy a new iphone if you can help it.
Just so you know

A story - not very good though: Are they allowed to call them "Upgrades"I am looking into upgrading to Iphone 4 with O2 (Iphone 3GS currently).

This depends on what kind of warranty they offer for refurbs.Or I am looking at possibly getting a refurb (from O2).. Do you think that is a big risk?0 -

Just 3 months actually... So there is a chance of being without a phone for other 15 mths of the contract.. not good.0 -
The majority of phones come with 24 months new and 12 months refurbished: http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk/popupIframe.php?target=/help/about-refurbished-phones
12 months warranty for new iPhones speaks for itself. 3 month for refurbs is laughable. Yet another proof of how reliable these toys are.0 -

I have my Iphone 3GS for 19 mths, and I had no problems with it.
My sister still has 3G (so it's maybe 30 mths old) and never had a problem with it.. It is getting a bit slow now though.
Not sure that is proving how reliable the phone is... Might just prove that O2 are having a laugh!!
Not sure about the other phones having a 24 mths warranty either... my Nokia's certainly didn't... Might be the supplier who is good.0 -
http://www.nokia.co.uk/support/faq/warrantyThe European Limited Warranty offers 24-month coverage for new Nokia phones purchased on or after April 1, 2005 within the European Union, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, and Turkey.0
