Quidco not paying cashback for Sky HD upgrade

Hi,

Has anyone else had any problems getting Quidco cashback for Sky HD upgrades (sorry if this is on the wrong board)?

I upgraded to Sky HD after seeing Martin's weekly email dated 23rd March (http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips/23-03-2011/#sky)
as they were offering £100 M&S vouchers and around £100 cashback through Quidco. In Martin's email he said that the offer ran out on 'Thursday' after the email was sent, however Quidco are telling me the following:

"We did have this offer but it ended early and was not available at the time that you clicked through to the retailer.
You can see via page 4 of the expired offers on the Sky page that it ended on the 17 March 2011.

The deal was "Exclusive £90 cashback for any existing Sky customer upgrading to Sky HD for the first time, plus a free Sky HD box (set-up fee and further terms apply). The HD pack (£10.25 a month) becomes £2.75 a month after cashback! (a massive 73% saving!)" -Expired - 17 Mar 2011

After this date the deal was for existing customers only and it stated "Cashback is not paid on existing customer sales (existing customers are deemed to be customers who have had Sky within the last 12 months)." on the retailers page."


I feel really angry as I'm sure this was a special rate when I signed up and I'm sure it was not expired or anything. I also feel really cheated if somewhere on the page they mentioned that they would not pay to existing customers, as that does not make sense that you get cashback to upgrade - surely if you upgrade you have to be an existing customer.


To top it all off, my cashback was tracked (but with wrong amount of money £2) but I just assumed that it would be updated when it was paid. If they hadn't tracked the order I would have queried at the time and then cancelled my order with Sky. Instead I have been patiently waiting 5 months for cashback and now find out I'm not going to get it. I would have never signed up had I thought I wasn't going to get cashback.


None of this seems to add up, especially the fact that Martin sent this in his email with a different expiry date than Quidco are now telling me they had. When I queried this with them they replied:


"I have double checked this and feel the information on the MSE e-mail was incorrect. Our deals on the date of purchase were -

£25 for Sky Sports or Sky Movies as part of a Sky TV bundle
£15 for Broadband Unlimited as part of a TV bundle
£10 for Broadband Lite as part of a TV bundle
£5 for ESPN as part of a TV bundle
£50 for standalone Broadband / Broadband Talk (new customer/no TV required)
£85 for Sky HD ( £100 M&S voucher from Sky)
£50 for Sky subscription ( £100 M&S voucher from Sky)
£95 for Sky with Sky Sports or Movies ESPN Broadband Unlimited ( £100 M&S voucher from Sky)
£105 for Sky HD, with ESPN and Broadband Unlimited ( £100 M&S voucher from Sky)


None of these were for an upgrade unfortunately."


I just feel quite cheated and annoyed :(


Anyone else had any similar problems? I'm starting to question myself now, but I'm so sure that I signed up to the thing I thought I had and I feel angry as I didn't take any proof and I should have!

    I am having the same problem,mine has tracked at £1 and am being told that the offer had expired but I know it hadn't because that is the only reason I upgraded to sky+HD box.:(
  • I purchased mine through quidco on the 21st March and this is a copy of what it said on the quidco tracking email :
    [FONT=Geneva,Verdana,Arial,Helvetica]sky digital TV New Offer! A record £274 total saving for Sky+! + Get £95 cashback, a £100 M&S voucher from Sky (was £50) with a free Sky+ or Sky+HD Box and free standard set-up (saving £79!)

    I have also been waiting since april for my car insurance cashback that i purchased through quidco compare so I am really annoyed at the moment and feel very let down!:(
