morning all
i have stock photos on my pc that im putting onto my web site.
some of the photos when viewed in (view) have a white box around them, and they are appearing that way on the site .i need to remove these as they look horrid on the site,
also why are some photos stored this way and other not?
im thinking that its something to do with the image size when saving them?

You'll need to use some sort of image editing program to crop out the area you want to keep and remove the white border. MS Paint should do it if you're desperate, but there is any number of better image editors out there (I like http://pixenate.com/ in a pinch)0

ive tried an image re sizer, corel draw and photo5.5 although they re size the image if cropped the white boarder still appears on the save image,
when you open the file with any program it only gives you the photo ,,pure with no boarder
so i think its the way im saving the original file
or
something in the windows settings
either way ive no look so farWAS DEBT FREE & STILL BAAARRRRRKING

You can crop the image using Windows Photo Viewer easily enough.I use it all the time.Once you've cropped it simply over write the existing file.0

cropping is not the answer as it still retains the white bars / boarder
its like looking at a wide screen tv where you can see the black bars
no matter what cropping i do these bars stay with the photo as i think its a boarder fill in..
this is why i think its a size issue
the site that sent me the photos probably uses small sizes and my site lets you crop to fit
however the crop tool wont work in both directions separately
ive search though the pc/window to see if these something in settings to remove them ,,no joy
it can be done though html but im not that good .

If you like, you can use this

Click browse, upload an image, then it will give you a list of links, if you post any of those, someone can take a look0 -

as you can see when you use a viewer or image shack the border disappears
what im getting on site is say the whole page above ,,white area as well ,now if i was to crop the photo the page size would still be as big and whiteWAS DEBT FREE & STILL BAAARRRRRKING
