There have been many but my favourite is my John Lewis Maharani furniture, I have 2 big cupboards (retailing around £600) for £50 and £100, another smaller cupboard for £90 (retails around £500) and 3 small tables for £35 for all 3 (retail at £99 each). I still have it in my search option, I am hoping to find the bookcase. :D

    Both ends of the spectrum.

    I got a 99p vacuum and a 99p fan heater from a seller who didn't put a reserve on.

At the other end, paid several ££££ for some great hi-fi.
  • I bought a 10 drawer filing cabinet for £20.00 and when I got it home and pulled out the drawers I found £210.00 worth of unused first class stamps stuck in the back. I cashed some in and I'm still using the ones I kept.

I havent bought much on Ebay but I think the things I'm most pleased with was at two extremes - I bought a bra for £1.99 and oh my god its so comfy! Would be worth about £12 or £13 if bought from the original place.
Biggest extravagence was rugby boy's training top :D I paid £50 for it but because of his er - status in the team :D it's a rarity. However a little niggly doubt remained if it was genuine so I was relieved when he confirmed that it had indeed belonged to him - phew :rotfl:

Although I've bought loads of really cheap Long Tall Sally clothes and running gear over the years my best eBay bargain was a pair of Fly London boots for £9.99 which had only been worn once and would have cost £140 new.

The only problem I have is buying clothes I don't really need. I'm just about to list a few impulse clothes related purchases which I've never worn.

Some of my best buys have been LTS suits for my daughter.
I've had so many bargains it's untrue.
A couple of years ago I bought a vintage eiderdown for a few quid & when I went to collect the seller said "I've got some curtains that I found in the loft, you may as well have them as well".
Lovely vintage curtains that I didn't want. They sold for close to £200.
Another brilliant buy was a pair of huge lined cotton velvet curtains, to separate my lounge & hallway, collection only & sold in the summer, I paid around £10 for them.

A Next bed frame for £100, lovely.

A lovely range cooker, 110cm wide style, double over for £551...would have been £1500 new, but looked brand new.

Fireplace surrounds x 2 for a tenner. I only wanted the cast iron part of one, so sold the frame part on again. For £70.
