I have a current credit card, and a closed store card but have/had PPI. I wrote to both companies for a copy of my signed agreements, and I provided a cheque for £1 for each of them. Both cheques have been cashed.
I haven't had a reply from the store card company, and my credit card company have only supplied me with an agreement which they have filled in. It isn't a copy of my original agreement.
I took the credit card out in 2004 and the store card in 2008/9. Even though I don't have the agreements myself I have kept all the statements.
Do I have a case to ask for all my premiums to be refunded to me because there is no evidence that I opted into the PPI plan?
Can anyone help?

Hi and welcome
You can still make a reclaim, if you think it was mis sold then go got it and give it a go, some have even made successful reclaims without the paperwork.
All you do is complete the reclaim questionnaire as on step 3 below, to their complaints or head office, keep a copy, they normally have 8 weeks, but some businesses have been given more time, for example currently 12 week, they will let you know if this applies to you, good luck on your reclaiming.;)

You could do a SAR first which should get you all the info regarding the ppi before you claim, then you know how much they should be refunding. BUT this costs you £10 and adds up to 40 days at the start of your claim. If you intend to go to the fos and are prepared to trust the banks (mmm yeah right) will do the calculation fairly just bang the claim in, but if you are thinking about court action or want to check the figures yourself-as well as arm yourself with as much evidence as possible for any claim-fos or court do the SAR letter first.
Advice over on the CAG forum is to send a claim calculation with the questionare so they know how much you want. I am in the early stages of my claims so not sure if this helps or not but its what I did, ensures they pay up the right amount of interest-should be compounded, but some try to get away with simple interest.
At the end of the day though for most of us its money we didn't have and thought was gone so any refunds are welcome.
Good luck

interest-should be compounded, but some try to get away with simple interest.
Where do you get that from. Interest incurred (where the misselling has resulted in a larger loan) will be unwound (including any compounding effect).
However, payments to reflect the fact that the money has simply not been available for you to use is awarded at 8% per annum SIMPLE interest.
This is in accordance with the Judgements Act 1838 and used by both the courts and FOS.
If you attempt to get it compounded, the firm can object to FOS considering it on the grounds that it has already offered adequate redress - in which case you have simply wasted everybody's time.0 -
Finally Argos card services have sent my agreement. Woo hoo, and I haven't ticked the PPI box yet they quite happily charged me just over £55 in PPI. It doesn't sound much but 55 quid is 55 quid. I will get that claim in. HSBC will be a bit more difficult.0

HSBC questionnaire got sent to them last week. here's hoping for a positive response from them.0

how's this for a coincidence. Argos settlement agreement was returned to them in their pre-paid envelope 4 weeks ago & not had a reply. I queried it and conveniently they "claim" to have not received it. This time it was emailed to them. They will pay out. Oh, and HSBC coincidentally replied today as well saying they are looking into it and apologised for the long wait.0
