Thanks breezy and bails. Oooh, I just feel like heading out to Benidorm myself now...!
No problem - go see carnaby street and say hello to Paul for me.
Anyway, getting back on topic, I would say to the OP that if you enjoy Benidorm so much, just go there. I have visited CDS many times and really quite like it. But if you enjoy the shows and bars, there arent many places can can compete with Benidorm (on the Med anyway). Ok, so a lot of them are rubbish, but a lot of them arent.
Regarding the weather, I'm not sure which would be the best, but isnt Benidorm suppposed to have its own 'micro climate'? I certainly know of people who go for the new year and walk the prom in T's.
Plus, I did see one or two parking spaces in Benidorm............
and less crime ...............0 -

I went to Torremolinos this year.
By far the most boring holiday I've had, and it wasn't cheap either. What's gone will never come back. But it exists when you think of it ...0 -

I've visited Benidorm 4 times in the past 2 years and I love the place although I'm confused as to the quote that 'There's nothing remotely Spanish about it'. I visited Benidorm EXPECTING it to be overwhelmingly filled with foreign tourists (not necessarily British ones) and was amazed to find that it was filled overwhelmingly with Spanish ones. The Old Town especially is filled with Spanish people. I wasn't expecting this at all as I expected a more cosmopolitan crowd.
The 'British' crowds are really only concentrated up the far end of the Levante Beach. The remaining parts of the town are not overwhelmed with Brits. It's most certainly not Blackpool in the sun. This can be found in a few pockets but the majority of Benidorm is Spanish and you can certainly escape the British 'influence' if you want. Just stay away from the end of the Levante Beach and you'll find few Brits.0 -
I have just come back from Bulgaria, Sunny beach. I went to Benidorm in June and also really liked Sunny beach, its like a multi national version of Beni, with very cheap beer. Prices were around 1.5 -2.5 levs a pint depending where you were drinking, and 1lev in some smaller bars set back from the resort centre. The exchange rate is approx 2.40levs to the £1.
You wont get a flight to sunny beach for £100, but might be worth considering another time for a change from Benidorm£100 - £10,0000 -

Must try it one day,
i have only been to Barcelona on the ramblas
my wife says i will hate it because i am a snob, we shall see..:oIt is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
