I want too quit my job, because i have 2 interviews this week maybe more for jobs i want.
Also the job is mostley on the phone, i thought it would just be a tiny bit.
There was no interview for the job i just registerd with agencey.
I have told jobcenter in past about couple of jobs i got sacked from and never been sanctioned.

If i knew it was all call centre i would not have took it.

Should i lie to the jobcentre say there was no job and tell agencey to remove it of there records if they do doubt it.

Sorry to hear that Palna. The Jobcentre can sanction you for up to 6 months I understand. However you may be able to reach some agreement with employer (which might be agency.. or is it the company?) that you're to part ways regarding this job as you both feel you're unsuited to it. That way if there is any come back you could argue you would have been dismissed had you not left voluntarily.

I suggest not lying Palna. As someone pointed out above, you seem to want to do that a lot - yet you seem to worry excessively. If there's one thing you'll worry about it is lies you've told. So be sensible.

In future it might be worth grilling the agency regarding the nature of the job. It sounds like they didn't give you much information... but sometimes you need to ask.

I cannot imagine a call centre job being too concerned with an employers spelling.
I work in second line support and I complain to my manager when the 1st line engineers on the helpdesk cannot log a call correctly. If I can't understand the call due to poor grammar or bad spelling then I send it back.

Proof enough that grammar is not a priority, else you would have nothing grammatical to complain about. ;)

ttleythefrog - I am employed by agencey but work for a company.

I now have anthor interview so thats 3 interviews, i could go to and hopefully get a job.

Its a risk both ways i could stick to this job, hate it and maybe get sacked.(if i went interview may have got jobs)
or i could attend 3 interviews, and maybe not get any of the jobs and no JSA.(might not have be sacked if i stayed at job.)

would they still give me just little bit of money like for transport.

what im thinking of saying jobcentre there was no interview i went to try the job out and see what its like relaised it was not for as its on the phones. as its on your sysetm i dont want too work on phone.

The JCP know that agencies don't interview, and they know they don't send people to 'try out' the job. Any lies will be a hiding to nothing because they'll check with the agency and you'll get nothing, not even a small bit for transport.

If i said to jobcentre it was only for a day will they check.
Have to say i workerd as i have already signed off.
Or i can ask agencey not to pay me, doubt they will listen.

No, you are not able to refuse wages earnt from an employer and as a preference, receive money from the state.

The welfare state was never really set up with that intention, although it sadly appears to have devolved somewhat from the original ideology:)

What can a dismissed worker claim

If you have been dismissed from your job it will affect the benefits you claim. You may be able to get contribution-based or income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, Housing Benefit, or Council Tax Benefit but there are special rules about how these will be paid following your dismissal.
You will not usually be able to claim Income Support following a dismissal as you will have to be available for work.

This should tell you everything you need to know.

LEAVING WORK

People leaving work are treated as having made themselves voluntarily unemployed. This applies if you resign, walk out or are sacked for misconduct. It doesn't apply to redundancy, end of contracts or on medical grounds (which can include workplace stress), or where you can show good cause (e.g. unfair dismissal).

Otherwise you are automatically classed as voluntarily unemployed. Unless you can disprove it, you face a sanction of up to 26 weeks without any benefit at all. Your case is referred to an Adjudication Officer who decides if it's fair and, if so, how long the sanction applies for. They will write to your employers for their side of the story. During this period you will be on no benefit, or reduced benefit in cases of hardship

• Last week you were worried about telling poeple at interviews that you had a holiday booked. Now your trying to get out of a job so you can attend interviews. Have you told this job about the holidays? It seems everytime you get work you get interviews. Then everytime you get work you also seem to get sacked. And when your out of work you get no interviews. Your work history as portrayed in this forum is incredibly dysfunctional.
