What is the standard expected of a Top Rated Seller? What makes them 'Top Rated'?
I ask only as I'm still awaiting delivery of an item bought on the 25th August - 1st class delivery charged and paid for.
Am I unreasonable to be wondering where on earth it is and not being told by such a TRS that they 'are very busy'? (ummmmm........... aren't we all??!!)
TIA
CC xx

Standard Delivery = 1st class post. Seller has sent an email saying they were away BH weekend and would post the earrings on Tuesday. Another message Friday 2nd Sept saying they had again been away and would post that day. No reply to 2 polite emails until this morning where they claim to be 'very busy' and for me to 'back off' - they would post soon!
Does that sound like a TRS? CCxx0

A TRS very quickly loses their status if they get low stars. You can reflect your experience with this seller by leaving appropriate stars... Low stars hurt far more than the actual feedback.
I would expect a TRS to be efficient, answer emails and despatch items within their given timescale.0

Same here, I'd also mark them down for communication.
You're paying their wages - they should act like it. It's no excuse for a private seller, let alone a business, to behave like that."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
Am now Crowqueen, MRes (Law) - on to the PhD!0

Thanks - I don't think its an unreasonable timescale - 11 days for a 1st class delivery item even given BH and W/E etc.
Still, its made me feel like a better seller xx xx
P.S at what point would you INR?0

What was the estimated delivery date.
I bought something on 28 Aug & the delivery date was 2-5 Sept, so your date would be a couple of days before.
I would open it now, you've been very patient in my opinion.0

Personally I'd open a claim, it isn't your fault that the seller is obviously too busy to bother posting anything.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Don't use the "I pay your wages" line though. It's almost as tragic as "I know my rights".0

Just open a case against them, there's no way Id do this without a bloody good reason (then again I'd get someone to go for me to post!).The Fields are Green, The sky is blue, the River Nene goes winding through, The market square is Cobblestoned, It shakes the old dears to their bones, A finer town you'll never see, A finer town they'll never be, Big city lights don't bother me, Northampton Town I'm proud to be!0

The "I'm busy back off" line is getting a neg from me every timeI'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0
