    We're going to the Grand National! Plus it's on my Birthday next year. Two birs, one stone!

  • Scottish Lass - I love the Highland Games idea.

    From my experience organising my best mate's hen, the things that mattered the most to her were the personal touches - I did a photobook with hundreds of pics from her childhood (thanks to her ma!) and then stuck these pics up all over the 'hen house' as well; the other thing that went down a storm was the goody bags - all freebies I'd saved up/collected, but wrapped nicely, and put in a pretty bag I made (cheap fabric).
    Also the games went down well - we did a murder mystery (downloaded) which was ace. All in the weekend (incl accom) cost £47 per head, including two activities on Sat, and food and drink.
