What decorators have you been using, your timescale seems incredibly slow to me. 10 days to paint a hallway, stairs and landing?! 2 working weeks?!
No way.
Phill99 knows what he is talking about, and having got half way through redecorating my house, I agree with his estimate. The actual painting is the easy bit. Sanding back woodwork, stripping walls, filling walls, sanding walls, that takes time. All depends on the quality you want e.g. neat cutting in or slap dash, well prepared walls or not.Don't be a muppet all your life.

So stop being a retard.

His estimate is for a professional to come in and do the job, not for a diyer to do it. 14 days, or 3 working weeks is way over the top IMO.
For the whole job, ie bedroom, 2 small bathrooms, hall stairs landing, in the average sized house would be more along the lines of:
Preparation: 1 day, the whole lot, 2 days if stripping is required, 3 days if it is a nightmare.
Painting: Emulsion, ceilings and probably a start on the walls, 1 day. 2nd day, 2nd coat on walls and start undercoating.
Woodwork, finish undercoating am. Start glossing pm. 1 day.
Finish off last day.
Total = 7 days maximum.:rotfl: The internet, a great way to make new friends, share information, and help others ...
I was just giving my opinion on the job, he was giving his but decided to spit his dummy out for some reason.
I would be interest to know how long the actual job ends up taking, that should settle the matter.0 -

We usually struggle to get people to come and look at any job we need doing. Maybe they're too busy, maybe the job's too small I don't know. We decorated one bedroom ourselves recently and it actually looks pretty good, almost professional ! Let us know how it looks when it's finished.
Hes actually a retired handyman. Sort of a friend of a friend....
