fund yield included in cumulative performance

Hi fellow money savers

I am just trying to find out if when hargreaves lansdown show the 5 year cumulative performance of a fund (eg Newton real return 5 year cumulative is 49%) does that normally include having reinvested the yield (in this case 3.3%) or not?

Any ideas?

Thanks
rb

Yes, total return charts will include dividends/interest unless stated otherwise.

With H-L you have the option of viewing performance with or without dividends.

I think most would offer this. On Financial Express you get price, total return and gross total return (and then a combination). You have to be careful what you leave it on as it remembers that last setting!

    Hi ya,
I have had a quick look and cannot figure out how to get HL to let you view performance with or without dividends. Sorry to be a bit stupid but how did you do this?

If you have the chart displayed, then under the graph there is a section called 'Chart Options' with an setting called 'Chart type'. Set that to 'Total Return'
