My low cost wedding

Cost of my wedding

Registary Office in Gibralter £106.00
Wedding Certificates £ 16.50
Noteries £ 20.00
My dress & shoes £ 10.00 ebay
Facinator £ 6.00
Fuel from Spain to Gibraltar £18.00
5* Hotel day before £48.00 late rooms
Total £224.50

Now I'm not including the holiday, flights etc because we were originally booked for going on holiday 4 month before I decided to marry so we didn't go there to marry. His new shirt was bought with Debenhams reward vouchers, his trousers and shoes weren't new.
There was just the 2 of us, no reception. His boss on hearing told us to have a meal on him.
We were staying in Spain for 3 weeks at a friends house so flew out easy jet

Rings..............thats a different story. I have a 1 carat 3 stone trilogy ring £2000 euros and our wedding bands together cost £500 euros.

Anyway, all that aside, it was the most perfect intimate wedding and just what I wanted. I wouldn't have changed anything.......except may be wearing a peticoat
:rotfl: l love this site!! :rotfl:

  • Congratulations!

Some people spend thousands (or tens of thousands) on that day and still don't think it was right.

You obviously haven't lost sight of what's important.
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!
  • Thats awesome. haha.
I think me and the wife spent about £700 - £800 pounds all in on our wedding. That included her Dress, The Rings, venue everything. We got Married in our local Music venue, which happens to be an old converted church.

We Lucked out with our photographer who happens to be our friend so she did our photos for free.

Spot on for keeping the costs down, but actually I think you need to add the wedding rings in to your costings. After all, you're not likely to have got married without them.

So actual cost was £224.50 + 500 Euros for the rings.

Sounds good to me, as it is we are planning a 'cheap' wedding but many who know us now understand our reasons for getting married, its due to our love and commitment to each other, they rest is just a show for everybody elses benefit.

    Congrats!

We got married in Aug in a cheapish wedding compared to similar weddings. We went to my wifes cousins wedding 3 weeks later which i actually didnt think was as good and it cost 7k more!!! Luckily i have lots of very good mates that always lighten the mood in a room, as soon as those party people get going everyone has a good time despite the cost :)
