Hello all
Another “naughty” day for me, of not doing any actual cleaning (well, apart from the WM full of Mr LW's clothes done overnight, and ongoing stuff like washing up, of course). I feel a bit as though I'm playing truant!:D
Sequeena OMG sounds like a real nightmare. You shouldn't, in anything like a fair world, have to have EH involvement just to get decent living quarters! Hey, look, I'm sorta “hanging in there” for other reasons, but I'll budge up on the “hanging-in-there area” and make some room for you. Have a Wolfy (((HUG))).:o
Wendywitch I know nowt about parenting, but I'm sure that sleeping in on a single day, after a night of horrible dreams, does not make you a failure as a mother. (((HUG))):o
Pollybear so pleased pudd'n-cat's eye is starting to improve.:)
Yesterday's outing was “interesting” - nearly got bowled out of my wheelchair just outside Waitrose by a couple of [STRIKE]rowdy brats[/STRIKE] darling children running around at full pelt and clearly not under parental control. I restricted myself to giving their mother a Look, which I thought was very restrained of me.:D
Got our groceries – I'd taken the cool box, so we put the chilled stuff in that, and had a wee trundle round Central MK; I could use a new 1 pint sized jug; I'm currently having to filch the measuring jugs to store thing, leaving them unavailable when I need them for measuring, mainly because I can no longer lift a full milk carton, so Mr LW needs to decant milk into a jug for me for during the day.
Anyways, we looked in John Lewis and in Debenhams, but found nothing I liked – the only “possible” was tapered towards the bottom, so really too easy to knock over.:( Eventually we decided to give up; and Mr LW treated us to a hot drink and cake in Cafe Rouge – I had hot chocolate with Cointreau, and we shared a portion of carrot cake, as their cake portions are really quite large.:o
Re the jug – it's a “would be useful to have” not a “can't manage without”, so when he's been to the Fang Farrier on Saturday, he'll swing by home and pick me up to do the F&V run, and we'll look in Odells and Castle Stores in Stony Stratford, see if there's anything that'll fit the bill.;)
Mr LW also reckons we could do to replace a few of the pillow cases we use for the “lower” pillows (we use 2 pillows each) so scheduled for weekend is a complete overhaul of our linens, bed, table and kitchen, and see if there's anything can go in the “animal towels” bag for the RSPCA.:o
I'd like to take the RSPCA box into Newport Pagnell to their shop on Tuesday (Mr LW's on leave for our wedding anniversary), also I need to pop into Wyrdo's as we're nearly out of incense. Actually - *thinks* I believe they have a tattoo parlour attached, so I might just be able to see about the labret studs Jojo told us about while I'm there, too.:o
*Thinks * If we can get the RSPCA box finished off, we can shove it in the hall ready to go, and maybe get a proper tidy of the spare room, restack the crates of stores, style of thing, and perhaps Mr LW will move the big wooden chest so that we can clean under it. Yeah, that sounds like a plan!:)
I've been putting off doing HHYoga, mainly because I cba, but it'd do me good to do it, so I'll join you at 2 and do that, if I may.:oI'm going to attempt to sort the DR out now - HHC @ 2 anyone? If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Popping in to drop off love, spoons and sticks, and to say I have got a new WM (the old one was leaving oily marks on clothes!) that takes 11kg loads.
It has revolutionised washing, but we are still a building site so no point in any actual flying! xPlease do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Hi LW, I'm just lurking on here looking at what I SHOULD be doing!! Saw your comment above and thought it might be worth sharing what my Mum does for my Dad who has parkinsons amongst many other things. She gets one of the small 1 pint milk bottles that you get from supermarkets and puts enough milk for him into that. She just washes it in the dishwasher each evening. They last ages but she does replace it with a new one occasionally.0 -
drat my shredder has given up the ghost with just a TINY bit left still to do. will wait for it to cool down and then finish that off.
going to go give the bathroom a once over in the meantime.0
