    I had a quick look in the other day but have been very busy this week and haven't stopped. I am going away on Sunday for 5 nights with work so will be starting properly again a week on Monday. DH vacuummed last night ready for his teaching tonight, the workmen have been, not tidied up after themselves again so now I need to do it before he comes home but I can't keep my eyes open.

  • Hugs to all especially LW - hang on in there dearheart

    Not done much today but squashed a couple of frogs - finished handmade birthday cards for sis and one of my best friends and sent a complicated email to the big boss - just need to see to the buttons on work waistcoat but thread at work - will try and find 15 mins on night shift to get done.

    Quick question - does anyone know of a good boat trip to go on when I'm in London for the weekend? Just an hour or so will do on the Thames - haven't got enough time for anything longer. Would rather do that than the London Eye (have got a passionate hatred of Ferris wheels or anything similar).

    Better start getting ready for my night shift.

    Good Luck:A

    Hope DD is ok, saw she had her plaster cast off which is good. And ouch at the wire!! It makes a massive difference when you feel people are listening and being supportive doesnt it?

    :D Certainly does GnB...also nice to not have to deal with some of the staff who were less than helpful last years after the bullying incidents...anyways, she's happy, I picked her up earlier and then left as I had to go back to work and she's gone to the park!

    Anyway's I've washed quite a few of my Kipling bags in readiness to [STRIKE]be prised from my cold, dead hands[/STRIKE]...be sold on ebay.:D

    Other than that, I've got DD2 some socks and tea is ready, a chilli I prepared earlier.

    Have done sod all today because day was awful. Please tell me things will get better :(

    Up at 7am with baby
    Plumber arrived at 9am, says he doesn't have 2 years worth of boiler certificates (duh because we've lived here for 2 years, we knew our landlord was lying but just wanted it confirmed) and that he didn't even know our landlord owned this house
    Environmental Health arrived at 10:30am with landlord's father (who was an exceptional bastward)
    Councillor for my area arrived not long after (lovely woman, helping us loads) and ripped !!!!!! into landlord's father haha.
    EH went round house with landlord's father and Sean. Landlord's father making snide comments all the time.

    Outcome of EH visit;
    Windows either need bringing up to scratch or replacing
    Front door needs replacing
    Damp in living room
    Plaster needs hacking off and redone
    Electrics need a complete overhaul as fuse box is several years out of date (which means we can't live here when this is going on but we don't think he'll even bother!)
    More plug sockets need to be put in. They weren't impressed that we need to run an extension lead across the kitchen because there is only ONE plug socket

    God I've forgotten what else.

    Boiler clearly needed a service anyway as it now does not make noises and hot water actually comes out as soon as you turn on the tap. Hurrah!

    After everyone left OH went over to the road to speak to our neighbour as he's helping him do some landscaping. I got left with baby who woke up and screamed for a feed and me being tired/stressed completely forgot to do bottles and tried to juggle baby whilst cooling a bottle ASAP.

    Whilst doing this some random turns up to buy OHs phone. Had to let her in through back door as OH had taken front door keys, attempting polite conversation with screaming baby is not fun. Could not find phone as OH decided it was funny to move it. Found it in the end.

    OH came back home and said he's landscaping tomorrow which means I'm left with baby and 'it's a good oppurtunity for you to bond with him' ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!! OH soon realises I am not in mood for bull crap and shuts up.

    For all of 2 seconds.

    Then decides he MUST go into Swansea to buy a new phone even though the phone he'd just sold was not even a week old and he sold it for a LOSS of £65.

    He sold this;

    HTC-Wildfire-S-2.jpg

    and bought this;

    Of course I had to go so I'm dragged into the cold and wet with baby in tow. Not long got home.

    Not a happy bunny!!!

    LW - this is for you - please feel free to ignore me - most people do!

    First of all you can have a big hug - know you wouldn't want one off me but Jerry will give you lots of licks!

    Secondly the lists - now the idea of the lists is so you have some time to yourself to do the things you want to do - that means you do so much and then STOP! Bear in mind that piggers does the lists and she has a houseful so her house and mine and most houses with more than 2 people get messy very quickly and need sorting and cleaning all the time. You have only you and Mr LW - that means that half of the things on the list don't need doing or at least only once a month or something. Besides which the lists are there as a guide - they're not orders - I'd have been shot a long time ago.

    Thirdly - we like hearing what's happening in your household and your doggie visitors - you can have a special dispensation if you like the same as Toots and LL to just post without flying - but we want you to keep posting.

    Fourthly - is there such a word? - we're your friends and although you don't like face-to-face contact - we're your online friends and are here to support you as much as you let us.

    Finally - if you do disappear we'll have to bring the flylady bus to visit you and that will be scarier than anything!!

    Love

    Try the London Duck. It is an amphibious land vehicle - I have no idea how to book it but I'm sure if you google it something will come up. I have friends who have been on it and they said it was brilliant. If you want a freebie try the Woolwich ferry.:p

    I tackled a dreaded frog today and cleaned out the shoe cupboard. I am mighty pleased to discover that I ordered the little one's snow boots big so they will last another winter:)

    I can't think of anything else to say so I'll say good night !

    Hey all - havent achieved a great deal yet...

    Had some errands to run for my volunteer job after the school run, went to Mr S after that with two kids in tow who promptly turned into the two most evil, mis-behaved brats in the shop, ran around like crazy people playing tag and ended up knocking me head first into the checkout.... stinking brats...

    anwyay - put shopping away, put some more rubbish out, dropped LO off to basketball, came home, signed forms for football and delivered new licenses, then cooked tea for LO coming back...

    Tea has just been eaten and need to get LO off to bed soon....

    Just popped on to say Hi to everyone. Its been a really busy week and not a lot of flying done.
    Just the basics really but hope to be back in flying mode tomorrow. Saying that the house is not too bad. Doesnt help having a blocked ear and having it irrigated hasnt helped.

    Hugs spoons and welcomes where needed.
  • Minion was dropped off by one of her friend's mums this evening, as there was a flurry of text messages between friend and her mum at lunchtime to arrange it. So a mahoosive Merc pulls up and deposits her at 4.30!

    Have done a washload and because it rained, one TD load. Otherwise I didn't have any towels left.

    After bass, spent the afternoon sorting out the front garden, sweeping up leaves that have blown in, shifting a barrel that is disintegrating but still has a sunflower and some lavender in it over to the corner, planting up some more containers, and generally giving it a bit of a spruce up.

    Minion offered to cook (put stuff in the microwave), so veggie cannelloni for me and meat one for her, and then the pikelets I got for 10p in M&S (and made sure I left one packet on the shelf :A) for afters.

    Think I might try to get an early night for a change.
    I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
