Juliejim - I'll HHC on the kitchen but I'm 5 mins behind.

Decided on a nap, but DS woke up just as I was drifting off, I left him for a minute and he went back off but I couldn't. Oh well, that'll teach me.

    Kitchen, here I come...

It is :( and what's worse is that this has become pretty normal for the last 4 years :(

DW on, WM on, TD on  and some on the airer.
Kitchen swept and half reorganised after the party/ sleepover _party_, it was meant to be 4 girls coming for party tea and 3 sleeping in the tent. Ended up with a mix of boys and girls for tea and 3 sleeping over, glad there was enough food :)

Coffee and meds taken, had phone call from the police wanting the phone number of XH's nan as he refused to give it to them. Gave it to them and then the policeman asked for her name . . . . erm  . . . Nan??:o
Give me a break she's 90 odd years old!! There's noone left to use her real name!!

    Two words: Management Transfer.

Speak to the police about it. Make sure the domestic abuse team are involved and they can instruct the council/HA to find you somewhere else at least as good as where you are already. 'Tis a legal thing that you have to not suffer as a result of being in danger.

Of course, that may not solve anything, but it seems mad that you are stuck in a HA property that he knows when there is this level of violence involved.

Must go and try and get Minion her school trousers now. She is rightly not coming (torrential rain and crutches do not go) with me, but SHE IS clearing up all the detrius from her early morning decision to make Angel Delight for breakfast  - and as we now have no milk, she is complaining that she couldn't have any tea.

I'm sure there was something else....oh, yes, check out the music shop that the rioters torched, as it should be open now.

Getting used to new contacts today, green, apparently (can't see any real difference to my natural eye colour, which is a bit of a surprise), but where they haven't quite centred yet, I'm getting a slight sepia tint to things - so shopping will remind me of the opening shots from Bagpuss. :D

Hello again, I forgot I had a Homestartsupport meeting at 10am so I lost a couple of hours.

Since I've been back I've decluttered a bowl of soup and and hour and half ironing. A phone call from MIL and reloaded the WM and TD several times. I have an hour now until school run time so I'm goingt to tackle the kitchen.

Wendywitch - very scary. Stay safe please.
Lamewolf - Hope the appointments aren't too fraught. Think of all the flylady vibes wishing you a calm experience.

  • I've spent 1.5 whole days de-summering the house. And now its more or less all more or less clean & tidy. Yea!!!

Can see the kitchen worksurface. Can see the sitting room floor. Can think of my friend Mrs Perfect-House coming to visit on Friday without risking a panic attack.

    Yea, yea yea!!
