Talkmobile billing for mobiles.co.uk cashback

Hi All

I decided to use mobiles.co.uk again for a cashback contract because I found it very easy to use previously but this time I went with talkmobile. I thought I could scan in my bills or download a pdf bill online to send them.

So I signed up to talkmobile online billing but you cannot download pdf bills, the bill summary page is not very good either it doesn't show my name or address so not sure if a screen capture would be enough for mobiles.co.uk cashback claims?

Called talkmobile they said since last month they stopped paper billing!!?!? And can't believe they charge £1+ for itemised billing even for online billing.

Hoping someone who is currently using a talkmobile cashback offer could explain how they claim their cashback, and if the mobiles.co.uk rep here could help?

Thanks!

On the website Talkmobile say: "You can view and download your bill online". Are they lying?

Then they say: "If you would like to receive a monthly paper bill please text PAPER to 60131 and we’ll move you to paper billing (there will be a small charge of £1.50/month for processing and mailing)". Yet another lie?
  • just realised if i click the print bill link it shows my account no and address etc with the bill

can this be saved as a screen capture img or a pdf and then mailed to mobiles.co.uk?

there seems to be no option to download a bill, hoping I can save that page and email it mobiles.co.uk

I asked the talkmobile helpline if I could download a pdf bill he asked me what a pdf was... and then said no you can just view the bill

and my first bill said I'd have to pay for itemised billing, and now it seems you have to pay for paper billing, what if you want itemised paper billing? do you pay two charges?!

and its silly you cannot view itemised billing online free , I have to now assume they are billing me correctly?!?

What do you expect from a telephone CS agent on a min wage? Knowledge of all file formats? Look at the website first before wasting your time on telephone calls.

Paper bills are always itemised. EDIT: on second thought, I am not sure.

Again, what I see on the websited is:
By logging into “Myaccount” you’ll be able to:
    • View and analyse your last six bills
I don't think that it is possible to analyse a bill if it isn't itemised.

Having said that, mobiles.co.uk seem to have improvedrolleyes.gif their website recently to our disadvantage:
    It used to be:

Can I email you my bill?
You can email us a copy of your bill using our cashback webform. ... You can then upload the screenshot or PDF of your bill t to our webform, choosing the query type 'emailing my bill'
Now it is: "The submitted bill must be in PDF format"
...We have updated our cashback page in order to try and simplify the process for our customers.
Well done. It's much more simple now rolleyes.gif. LOL

The form for submitting claims online suggests PDF, JPEG formats as an option - the FAQ page suggests "must be PDF".

I would first just ask them to clarify if they accept JPEGs or not.

If they do not, then take a screenshot of the bill. Put it into Word and save as PDF file and submit that.

Itemised billing - thats really for you to look at, for the cashback you only need your basic bill details.

I've just found this thread on Google after for searching for whether anyone else had encountered this problem.

I used CutePDF to print the bill to PDF and that looks as though it should work fine.
