Being friendly with some of the staff of my local Tesco, a very attractive mangeress,
I approached the subject of these vouchers and other tricks mentioned on this forum.

They only take Sainsbury coupons at the store in question,
as they are the only local rival that issues them.

As for these H&B vouchers - quote 'we know they are abused & just like the R&R tricks, repeated abuse will just leave us with no alternative than to ban the person from the store.'

    !!!!!

Different stores, different SAs, different 'rules'.

SA today notice that one of my vouchers was a Somerfield one and wasn't sure if he could take it. Rang his bell for a supervisor, none came, so he went off for advice...... came back with an A4 printed 'idiot guide' and said that it was OK, he could take them. I handed a few more vouchers over and he then asked if I had bought the Uncle Ben's sauce. When I said no, he said that he could only accept two of any kind if I hadn't bought the product. So I gave him two Christmas cake ones and two Candarel chocolate ones (have used all of the Sinex ones and the Uniball ones are long gone). No probs so far, SA still very friendly...........

I then spread a few more vouchers on the checkout. various £1 wine vouchers and he then picked them up and noticed that they had Sainsbury's on the back. After reading his A4 sheet again, he said that he couldn't accept Sainsburys or Asda, Somerfield was fine though. Had used all of the Somerfield in my purse and hadn't bought any more H&B products, so I thanked the very nice SA and paid.

I really have no idea why Somerfield was OK because I would have thought that Asda was the direct competitor to this particular Extra. Perhaps they have felt the pinch of Asda's hefty vouchers from last month. Who knows?

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker Xmas Saver!
I have two nappy vouchers that I would be happy to swap for something else:

200 pts on Pampers nappies (newborn mini and midi only)
100 pts on Huggies nappies (size 1 and 2 only)
Also a Tesco baby and toddler club parking permit

I would be happy to sway for any other bonus points/discount vouchers - but not baby ones.

    Please pm me if interested

Bit of a long shot but I have one of the uniball vouchers left, if anyone interested in swapping me a couple of H&B vouchers?
  • Just to let everyone know the new BOGOF's are now on the Tesco website, variation on last lot , shampoo, toothpaste etc just different brands.
The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

  • having lots of pm's about the vouchers i've had to delete some messages so i don't have details of everyone i've posted to. can i go off topic here and just send an apology for the second class postage i've had to use over the last few days? one local shop has no stamps and the other only has second class! i don't know what's going on there but i haven't been able to get into town for first class stamps. so i'm sorry.
