Thanks for that, being new to this ...........

1, Historically, do you know if anything has ever been rejected prior to this one(category wise).....I realise one should be either/or

2, And..yes, this was my worry.
Right Guard APD didn't count as beauty, only toiletry, when I bought some on its own last week, but there were others I believe. Not bought any of the stuff in your list to try it out yet.

Also number of items bought affects it. Even if you meet the required spend, I believe you need at least as many items as coupons of each type you're using. This is why you couldn't buy three items with total >£8 and use 4 of the 50 points coupons - it would only accept 3 even though you'd spent enough.

2 kind souls sent me some QK vouchers a few weeks back, and i did two reasonable shops with them.

i can't get any near me, and i have looked at 4/5 different stores while out and about.

It seems most unfair that none of the stores near me have any, even though 2 of them were really large stores. I'm sure i'm not the only one who has found this though.

Does anyone have any spare packs of coupons? Health and beauty? QK?Probably not and PLEASE don't think me rude i'm sure noone has any spare but thought i would ask just in case :o

Good luck to everyone with your shops.

The order you had the coupons in may have had an affect also. I never put 2of the same kind together. Just mix them through as the till seems to beep if 2 of the same kind are put through one after another.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

and best of all 50 points for every £2 spent on toilety and beauty

Being an ex-serial RandRer and having a HO national ban for policy abuse, prevents me unfortunately from using my CC (Tesco Identity Card)for anything less than normal shopping(its in OH's name)....Over the last 8 months I reckon 10,000 points have gone in the bin, over 5000 of these recently.
I dont think your bogof total was enough to use all those vouchers, to have used another voucher of each your spend would have to have been over £20.

Re the coupon use above, I agree, not enough in original value to have used 4 of each.

I always work out my totals going round, and make sure I maximise my coupon use.....example

I noticed on the Treseme, buy 2 use 2 coupons(£7.12), buy 4 use 4 coupons (£14.24) but buy 6 use 8 coupons as the total came over the £20.

Unfortunately this might not apply to all good now, as my experience yesterday saw the till reject 3 of my 10 coupons on a £26 shop.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Deodorant......this ties in with the quote below

The tills have definitely been partially sorted, I was rejected a £1.25 beauty the other day when purchasing deodrant, however it worked for soap and handwash!

I'll try and see if deodorant is a "non double coupon product".

Just noticed a store near me re-introduce the QK packs yesterday after having none for 4 weeks or so.....So don't give up.

  • Hi Leadhead - when you use 10 QK coupons do the SA not say anything/alert supervisor?? If they did what would you do? - pay for the shopping and then get a refund?or void the transaction? Do you shop at several Tesco stores? do you add other shopping in?.....sorry for being nosey - I'm just amazed by all the products you get in one go (I wish I was that brave!!)

re the shopping that you did IMO I think some of the products you bought aren't classed as BOTH 'Beauty' AND 'toiletry' - I know shampoo/showergels/bathsoaks/toothpaste/toothbrushes are BOTH - BUT I 'm not too sure on creams/deodrants/sanitary products.

    i'm not hopefull!
they never had any before so doubt they will this time. not fair that they never ever have then near me in the 1st place. I'm sure i'm not the only one.

I wanted to find some as my dear mum is in hospital and i'd love to get her some bits. Im just really having a bad few months at the moment on the cash front, so was hoping to find some so i could make her up a little bag of toiletries etc. She had a heart attack on Wednesday out of the blue so is going to be there for quite a while, as is still getting pains.
    :(

But I'll keep looking, as you never know!

Thank you for your reply though :)
