Quick question regarding the self scan machines. For those who have been scanning QK /H&B coupons via self scan - how many QK/H&B coupons can you scan before they start bleeping??

I only get away with 1 of each, thats why i avoid the self-sanners because it draws attention to yourself.

Anyone manage to get hold of any of these today, same as last lot, £10, £7, and £5(off various spends).....None in my local but my pal got given one today, although the tills arent programmed to accept them yet...

Keep your eyes open, theyre a purpley/mauve colour.

Hit a slight snag tonight......bought goods to the value of £26 before bogof.

Normally I can use 5 toiletry and 5 beauty coupons(Quit), but tonight, the till rejected 3 of my toiletry coupons.

I bought

2x Johnsons Shower and shave cream 250ml bogof £2.19

2 Dove Summer Glow Body Lotion 250ml bogof £4.98

2 Palmolive narurals Shower Milk 300ml bogof £1.79

2 Radox Handwash bogof £1.66

4 Johnsons Hair Minimising Cream at £1.50 each(was £8)

So a total before bogof of around £27

and after bogof around £16.50

I wonder why the till refused 3 of my Toiletry coupons, when everytime I spent this amount before, I managed to use 10 coupons.........can anyone see anything I'm missing......or have they changed the system.

Didn't beat me however, as I asked the CO to see if a Nicotinell coupon would be accepted, and it was.

It did for me the other day, but today I had a couple of toiltery coupons rejected by the till, but bought other stuff as well, so cant really be 100% sure now........

Two possible answers:

1. Not everything you bought counts as both toiletry AND beauty as far as the till (glitch) is concerned. [obviously everything should really only be one or the other, not both, but historically many items have worked with both coupons]

2. The till system has changed - I did notice this morning on a self-scan that my BOGOF savings were displayed on the screen as soon as they applied, not when I pressed "finish and pay". This has only changed in the last couple of days in my local.

Although Toothpaste is classed as a toiletry, the beauty vouchers were working off Colgate last week, but you must spend at least £5 on beauty/toiletries for the coupon to be accepted by the till......If you had presented both a beauty and a toiletry with your radox, theres a good chance both would have been accepted...........they were last week.

Thanks for that, being new to this ...........

1, Historically, do you know if anything has ever been rejected prior to this one(category wise).....I realise one should be either/or

2, And..yes, this was my worry.

At my local Tesco they were handin out Beauty/Toiletry voucher.

"£2 off when you spend £8 or more on any beauty or toiletry products"

Coupons valid until 25 March 2007.

Have two spare in anyone want so swap them, for telegraph till spit.
