voucher accepted 4.00 daily mail total to pay 2.48 not bad ay.

  • Upon leaving i noticed that i'd been overcharged for the cardy i'd been charged £35 not £25.
    Went to customer services for a r & r.

But she only gave me £10 back i queried this, but she hadn't seen all my coupons as i'd folded the receipt in half.
She said that she would have to get the manager down.

i decided against this, what with all the vouchers. So i just took the £10 so my shop came to £23.46

But i've just found out that i don't like the cardy and it doesn't fit proper.

    Now what do i do.

You could take it back to another tescos say it was bought as a present & doesnt fit & could you exchange it or have a refund. Dont think you would get a refund but its worth a try.

Didn't do so well with my 4 Plax today...... only added two packs of reduced meat to them so I didn't end up with a minus figure.......... SA started to scan and then handed back two Plax £1 coupons and said she couldn't take those......... 'Oh' says I 'I have got 4 bottle though'........ 'we can only take 50% off the total' says she............. 'Okey dokey' says I 'I dont' want to get you into trouble' :D:D ........... 4 Plax and two lots of pork chops = just over £3.... can't complain. (best not to either, I'd rather keep a low profile)

THEN........ she scanned my next TWO transactions........... each containing 4 Daily Mails and more reduced meat and other stuff I needed........ having tested the water with a Daily Mail £4er from last Sat and a December Somerfield £5er...... I got rid of quite a few old S'field and Asda coupons to get both transactions down to 50%..... result!

"Sorry about all the coupons" says I "my daughters collect them all for me". (just a little white one ;) )"No probs" says she, "best to use them if you have them"... such a nice girl..... :D:D

Had to get petrol before I left ......so bought another 4 DMs !!

Tomorrow is another day, as they say.... Hurrah!
  • 4 x plax . Total before bogof £11.52, after bogof £5.76, - 4 x £1 vouchers ( quit ) - 2 x £1 ( Hand B ) - 1 x £2.50 ( H and B ) = 50 pts ( Hand B ) = £8.50 off. Complicated way of saying £2.76 to me to take them away. So my total shop of £16.87 came to £2.51!

Have been keeping up with all these bargains and reading every thread but I seem to have missed something. Why is everyone buying the daily mail ?

Well, it feels good to be back! LOL. DH came along, whining as usual, as I wanted to ask the SA if he'd accept all the vouchers first, because I didn't want to do the transaction otherwise, he was fine as long as the till accepted them.

I purchased 4 bottles of Colgate plax (£5.76 after BOGOF) Used:

    1 x £1.25 beauty QK
    1 x £1.25 Toiletry QK
    1x £1 H&B
    1x £2.50 H&B
    4 x £1.00 Colgate plax QK

So on a £5.76 spend, I ended up £4.24 off the rest of my bill! Much to DH delight as he was paying! LOL.

    Purchased:
A Total: £62.50 worth of womens and childrens bits and bobs.

    Used:

    £10 spring time
    £7 spring time
    £4 blue voucher
    £10 blue voucher
    2 x £6 QK clothing vouchers, so paid: £19

Fantasic!! Also used till spits 500 for womens clothes and 300 for footwear, which also didn't scan, although I purchased £18 shoes and the till spit only said £10!!

I asked SA first, and then Supervisor came over who was fine to use the vouchers as well.

There was a £4 book token (which some people are able to use in Tesco/Asda to get £4 off their shopping. It was in Friday's paper.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

I had a problem using vouchers tonight. this is the 2nd time its happened and on both occassions i wasnt about to use very many. as soon as sa saw them he called over a supervisor!!!!!!!!they proceeded to go through it all with a fine tooth comb-completely ignoring me and after about 10 minutes decided that i could use them!!!!!.
At that point i took all shopping out of trolley ,plopped it on counter and said"with the greatest respect to both of you-you Mr superviser please do tell me why Tescos print and give out vouchers but DO NOT want customers to use them. Then to the young SA" how old are you(replies 17) "ive been shopping in tesco for 20 years before you were even born perhaps youd do well to remember that next time before you proceed to treat me like an invisible object" I told them to take the goods back and as i left i thanked them profusely for their exemplary customer service!!!!
I would love to have a chat with the policy makers at tesco since I know from experience that policy seems to be a very fluid thing!!!
So I went to another store and just like the last time they annoyed me proceeded to completely abuse the voucher policy-THREE TIMES. I dont get it i do the right thing and get pulled up and made to feel like a criminal- do the wrong thing and all i get asked is if i want help with my packing!!!!!

Can anyone confirm if the H&B / Qit combinations and the DM voucher scan through the self-serve checkouts please?

    Tnx.
