How far does 250MB internet go?
I just received confirmation for my order of a Samsung Galaxy S2 via Dialaphone, whereby I get 300mins, unlimited texts and 250mb internet for roughly £23 a month...
However, it turns out I have a little more money to spend than I thought, so I was thinking of changing my order to either:
1) 500mins, 500mb data, unlimited uk email, unlimited texts.
2) 300 mins, 500mb mobile internet, unlimited wifi, unlimited texts
My main question is how much use I'd get out of 250mb internet on my current order - it doesn't seem like a lot, and I assume it pretty much rules out watching videos on my mobile?
Many thanks

Your general checking the odd email and facebook etc , weather updates, will be fine, but start tethering and roaming and we will soon see yet another sob story about high bills, android don't seem efficient on the data front, they use in a day what my symbian uses in a month, you can watch videos when you are connected to wifi.0

Since 19th August i've used 84mb. I don't really tend to watch video's though I did watch sky news live whilst the rioting was on. Phone always being used but I do use wifi where I can. When O2 changed to limited Internet use I monitored it daily. I've never even got close to half of my allowance even whilst on holiday in Cornwall with limited wifi.0

I used just over 100MB out of my 750MB allowance on my Blackberry.0

Avoid youtube (videos), and just check your emails / facebook / twitter, and 250 MB is more than adequate.
I use an Adroid phone (HTC) and I have never gone over my allowance (which is 250 MB).
If you watch videos or download lots of things 250 MB might not be enough.0 -
Cheers for the answers guys
One last question - only one of the deals specifically advertises unlimited wifi internet, but from what I've been told you get unlimited wifi anyway - the 250mb internet data only counts for mobile internet. Is this true?0 -

When you are out and about, there are wi fi portals like Openzone or the cloud, some subscriptions allow access onto those portals :beer:0 -

Wifi is good in Wetherspoons pubs and Maccy D's (free). There are a lot of coffee shops etc that also offer WiFi.0 -
Wifi is unlimited full stop as your network won't know your using wifi but then its not they're concern0

These depend on your network, I know if your on Orange you can't access weatherspoons wifi.
OP I have 500mb and haven't gone over it yet but then I've not really been anywhere to use it. It all depends on would you use the phones mobile away from home eg watching bbc iplayer or watching youtube videos or would you use the phone as a sat nav.0 -
I have an iphone 4 and am on facebook daily, check mse most days and use it for internet shopping (which is a lot at the minute as moving out so buying furniture etc).
I don't really watch videos, but since 6/7 to today I have used 608kb so just over 300kb a month for contant usage- hope this helps a bit with deciding :0)First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!0
