Hi guys,
Just passed my car test last week, ive had my full motorcycle licence for 2 years though. Btw ive just turned 18. My question is, ive seen in the news about guys who are like 20 or younger driving their parents supercars, how do they get insurance??!!:think::think::think: My dads got a Ferrari 458 Italia, how can i get insurance for it, there definately is a way as the people in the news are driving with it. Is there some way to get the insurance for me bearing in mind im only 18, like putting me as an additional driver or something.
BTW i have 2 years motorcycle NCB
Any help much appreciated

they normally get insurance because they're minted and can afforded to pay it.
Although i've found it quite reasonable when i've messed about with quotes. Under £2000 no matter what i've quoted for.0 -

I dont mind spending up to £4000k if need be. However when i checked on Comparethemarket and confused noone quoted me. Are there certian companies i should approach?0 -
Brokers usually rather than comparison sites.0

Whats the difference between brokers and comparison sites? Also would you know of any who are likely to get me a quote?
Cheers0 -
The normal way is to ask your dad to put you on as a named driver.
But it depends who he's insured with, and if they'll let him.0 -

One assumes you own many supercars and probably a few jumbo jets, helicopters and luxury yachts at that price.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). How about going out and using that 4k to buy a car and insurance?
At 17 you dont really need to be driving a car like that in public.
Have ur dad take you for track days sure!
But it aint much fun driving a super car at 40mph, oh and jus wait till ur mate wants u to go park in that dodgy tight space.
Get a little fun first car, ram all ur mates into the 4 spare seats and impress them with the fact ur not as flash as ur dad. But at the same time are pretty sorted financially0
