02 Free Texts

Slightly confused.

I thought it was the 300 you got free for topping up a tenner each month. I topped up in preparation for today on Friday and with just the 10.00 expecting the 300, then 500 appeared.

I googled it and this came up...

is it a new card to get the 500 and not the 300?

is this your first top up? If not and you have already topped up before a calandar month has passed you have in actually topped up £20 in a month which I think entitles you to 500 texts. (think you get 300 for a tenner, 500 for twenty or a thousand for 30 quid or above).

If this is the case you have answered a question i was gonna post on here. Its a bit naughty though cos as you've topped up with two lots of £10 why haven't you got another 300 texts rather than them just making it up to 500?

I went from PAYG - to Contract. I had a lot of problems with the contract phone and so cancelled the contract and went back to PAYG.

All the phones were with 02 and I had the free text allowance before with my PAYG and it was always the 300, despite paying in advance - sometimes a week or more in advance of my anniversary date.

This is a new simcard that was sent from 02 around October/November. It was first topped up with a tenner on December the 8th and there wasn't a message then to say how many texts I had, I assumed it was the 300 and wasn't charged for any texts I sent in December or up to today. I topped up on Friday in preparation for Jan the 8th and I got the text today saying:

'You now have your Text Anytime 500 UK Texts and 1MB of data to use this month. Remember to top up by £10 or more before 08/02/07 to get your free allowance next month.'

So I assume I had 500 last month too...?

Like I said in my first message, I googled the 500 texts thing and came up with that simcard link ^ so I dunno if they were offering more texts with the £10 top up on certain cards?

How do you get 300 free texts in the 1st place, I can't find the thread?

you need an online sim card from o2.co.uk or ring cs and have it converted. It gives you 300 txts a month if you top up by £10 each month. You also get to keep the £10 for your own use
