Hi, just thought I would share this with you as I am so pleased.
Usually do my shopping at Morrisons or asda but with all the rising prices I thought I would try Aldi yesterday, Wow!!!! bought loads, enough meat for 8 meals plus tins, goodies, veg etc and only spent £27.80, i will defiantly be shopping there from now on. :j

Did you mean "definitely"? :rotfl:
We shopped in Aldi yesterday and they did have some really good bargains and a wide variety to choose from. Although we are on holiday, bought loads of stuff to take home with us. Lots of French, Mexican and Asian goodies.
Felines are my favourite

We have an Aldi local, and always used to go to Tesco but these past few months have been going there. You can get bottles of beer/cider for 99p, the other day we got one of there Chickens for £3.99 and crisps, chocs, biscuits, yoghurt and bread are all cheaper than Tesco. With it being smaller than Tesco as well it takes less time to do the shopping, bonus!0

We do lots of shopping in Lidl but occasionally at Aldi. They do a lovely Merlot for £2.99
their sliced wholemeal bread is always fresh (unlike our local Asda) and I think only 59p per loaf,
sausage roll 79p for 5 and little desserts 25p and 35p,lemon wafer biscuits 60p are yum and their own choc digestives 59p.Milk £1 for 4pints which I know Asda do but you usually have to buy 8 pints at a time and Cleopatra I ain't .:rotfl:
The only thing I refuse to buy is their fruit and veg which unlike Lidl ,where it's always fresh our local Aldi is dire.0 -

Actually we buy there red wine which is £2.99 and we think is really nice. It's called: Collezione Italiana Vino Rosso.0

I work next door to an ALDi but am not that impressed with them (rather annoyingly as this would be very convenient!). I prefer LIDL for my cheap basic...and my local LIDL is managed by one of my students so occasionally I get an extra bargain or two! I'm also a huge fan of Iceland but not for whole meals - I buy a range of meat/fish products and then augment them with what I call 'real' food...fresh veg, my own egg fried rice or sauces etc to make sure we're getting a balanced diet. Yesterday we stocked up on the meat/fish stuff for the month for just £33.Mortgage starting balance - [STRIKE]£151,030 [/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£143,733.28[/STRIKE] £137,000 (25 years to go...):o0

Aldi's worth a nosey, good for vegetables if you're going to eat them within about 5 days (7 days often sees them going past their best)! Also good for crisps and sweets to take to parties or the cinemaKitty_Ears wrote: »We live right by an Aldi but I never think to go in there... may go in tonight!
