The whole bloody things a mess - wouldn't be at all surprised if the Govt postpones it for a couple of years. They can't abandon it (completely) as Energy surveys are part of EC regs.
Yeah, like Stakeholder pensions - anyone remember those? They threatened companies with prosecution if they didn't set up a Stakeholder pension facility - turns out they only prosecuted ONE, and it's fell off the radar completely now. As soon as people realised that only they would be contributing to it, they didn't want to know. But I digress...
Surely the introduction of this HIP rubbish means that there's going to be a stampede from people wanting to sell before June? Which means there'll be loads more houses on the market, which could possibly cause prices to stagnate, or even fall? Here's hoping :rotfl: Seriously though, has this whole thing even been thought out properly? What is the aim of Blair et al?0 -
No it was John Prescott's Department. And as has been said, they are only there to satisfy some EU rule on energy efficiency that the government agreed to several years back.scorpio_princess wrote:..... I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.
