    Eh?
    I've got a youtube account.
and no I haven't got a Gmail address at all.
The email address I supplied at sign up as a contact address was a hotmail one

you will be asked at some point I had to link my youtube account to gmail way more than a year ago
    Sorted...

Thanks for everyones input. In case anyone is interested i went to 'help' section on youtube and followed a process to 'unlink' my wifes gmail a/c from youtube and then link my gmail a/c to youtube. The only thing is now that if she tries to access youtube she wont get in...until i tell her the new password.

These huge conglomerates just make things more difficult for no reason. If youtube was not so good i wouldnt bother with it!

glad you got it sorted, you wife can always just make a youtube username on her own gmail account, therefore you would be able to have your own separate subscriptions.
  • Google knows more about you than you think.

I once bought a brand new computer and connected to the internet via the girlfriends broadband connection and as soon as I went to Google it signed me into my Google account!

Bear in mind that I had never, ever signed into my Google account from her house as I did not even know the password as it is stored on my home computer and this computer was brand new and had never been used before

that's impossible, unless you used something like windows transfer or something.

    Nope.

I swear that I bought a brand new computer where Windows 7 had not even had the serial number entered. I connected to the internet at my girlfriends via Virgin (I was on BT at my house) and it logged me into my Gmail account that I had not even logged into for months (there were unread emails from months, could even of been about two years back)

Don't get me wrong, if someone told me this I would not believe them either. But I swear 100% that it is true!

I'm certain that I had never logged into Gmail from her house as I did not know the password as all of my passwords are genereted and stored by Roboform on my home pc. Here is an example of a roboform generated password- sTaSJq9wpNVResD4JZyx

I have mentioned it to a few computer experts, who just gave me a strange look!
