Has anybody else had an avalanche of those ridiculous emails - they look like a scanned till receipt with things about profits of a company or shares or similar? I keep blocking sender then deleting but each day there are more of them, then from a different sender but the same thing! I have AVG firewall antivirus by the way.

I find the best way to deal with this is to have a 'junk' e-mail address - then, when it starts filling up with viagra adverts and requests to send £130,000 to your long lost cousin in Nigeria, just bin it and create a new one.0

Yes I am also fed up with these emails.
Plus all the viagra ones plus all the do you want a bigger one etc etc
Even with spam filters you still have to check you spam box for legitimate mail.
Its time legislation was brought into force to stop this ridiculous email traffic.
It exists in the UK why cant it exist in Canada or wherever the viagra mails come from???0 -

There's lots of threads on this forum about spam and dealing with it. Just type spam as a Keyword in Advanced search box at the top of the threads here.
Heres one thread to start off:

Cherokee,
Your email address has been picked up by the spammers and they are using it in the FROM field of their spam emails to disguise their identity.
Many people bounce emails thinking it goes back to the sender. But the spammers arent stupid enough to use their own email address.
As a result you, me and many others are getting this Delivery failure (bounced) type of spam.
So please, please dont bounce spam - it doesnt go back to the sender.
There isnt much you can do once your email address has been harvested like this, other than get a new one and be very careful who you give it to.0 -
I've got shares in the Nigerian lottery too - or something like that:rolleyes:0
