Very uggs genuine???

I have been looking for some kensington uggs and seen them in very catalogue but the genuine ones are black with a black sole, the ones in very are black with a light brown sole. Surely very could only sell genuine ones?

Both according to the UK Ugg site.

The £255 pair are black soles, the £150 pair with the light sole.

well mine finally arrived today at 6pm.

Although I don't think for a second that Very would sell fake ones and I am probably sounding 'picky' but I was quite surprised to see that they were in a plain brown ordinary shoebox and not in an 'Ugg' box!

I've ordered Nike, Adidas and Rockport shoes in the past from them and they have always come in their proper boxes!
  • Yeah im surprised they dont come in an UGG box. Very is an authorised Ugg retailer according to ugg australia uk website

I doubt Very will have sent out fake Ugg Australia boots but if I were sent a non-Ugg box and had paid anything like that amount I'd be demanding a replacement box (and be nit picking at the boots) I don't tend to keep boxes but it would just be something which irritated me -did it mention the non branded box in the description?

Thanks... glad it's not just me then!!

But no, the description didn't mention anything!! I don't doubt for a second they are anything but the original ugg boot..the boots in question are the bailey 3 button boots.. £230... don't think I could possibly nit pick at the boots themselves as they seem fine...but I am quite peeved they didn't come in an Ugg box (am sure my 12 year old would have used it for some sort of storage!! lol!)... surely they get sent to 'very' in a proper box??

I've quite often had shoes or trainers from Very arrive in plain brown boxes, even when ordering two pairs the same but in different sizes I often get one pair in the proper branded box and one in a plain brown one, I wonder if they replace damaged or returned boxes with the brown ones?

Don't forget to go via quidco if you are buying from Very x

Have you followed it up with them? I would! I'd be asking for some sort of partial refund- no really, the box thing would get to me that much!
  • I think the plain packaging is deliberate.

High value items are shipped in huge quanties all over the world and are a target for thieves. I think they try to make the boxes look as indistinct as possible. I was told this a few years ago when I questioned the packaging on an item, can't remember what it was now, and the assistant said it was deliberate. If you've bought from a reputable company then you'll be fine. I get what you're saying tho' - if you were buying them as a present doesn't look very authentic in a plain box.
